Application Use

The LTH150 Through-Hole Load Cell is a small, low-profile sensor designed to measure compression forces. It is ideal for applications where a structure, like a bolt, needs to pass through the sensor, such as measuring bolt clamping force.

Design

This sensor is compact and lightweight, with a 0.14" (3.5 mm) inner hole, making it easy to fit into tight spaces without adding extra weight or bulk. Its custom strain gauge and solid one-piece design help reduce errors caused by unwanted or off-axis forces. It also has low power consumption, making it great for battery-powered devices or applications where heat buildup needs to be minimized.

The LTH150 is made of strong 17-4 PH stainless steel and works in temperatures ranging from -60°F to 200°F (-50°C to 93°C), making it reliable in tough environments. Its very low deflection (0.0005 in / 0.013 mm) allows for a quick and accurate response. The sensor is RoHS compliant and comes with a #34 Gauge Braided Shielded cable to improve signal protection and reliability.
